Great Balls OF Fire Preview

Image
This Sunday, on July 9th on the WWE network, The first ever Great Balls Of Fire will be live for the first time. This show will  see a Ambulance match between as Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman top off their rivalry. They have been feuding and fighting for months, and violence is guaranteed in this match. There will be other championships such as the match between Samoa Joe and Lesnar that will be a sight to behold. I will be previewing each of the matches and giving you my opinion on who is going to win this Sunday. Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass I think everybody knew that Big Cass was the one who had been attacking Enzo Amore the whole time Obviously, it was him as Cass gave Enzo a big boot to the face, solidifing his heel turn. Enzo looked like a big idiot this feud when literally the week after Cass revealed it was him who attacked Enzo, he tries to heal the relationship. Cass then again attacks and literally throws him off the stage. Honestly, I am not a fan of WWE br...

Smackdown Needs Some Major Improvements

Image
Smackdown is in a desperate need of a complete reboot immediately.  Long gone are the days of the great tag team division and a good main event scene. Smackdown used to be the show that everybody watched every week and also was the complete opposite of Monday Night Raw. You had the likes of Edge, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Paul Heyman etc. The amount of great talent Smackdown had was second to none and the booking was just as good. The goal of Smackdown was to be a rival to raw and give fans a alternative for people who were tired of the same old stuff on Raw every week( especially during the HHH reign of terror). Now, fast forward 15 years later and it honestly doesn't even look like the same show. You have a terrible world champion in Jinder Mahal who was a jobber his entire career until like 2 months ago. The tag team division is on life support with the same two tag teams in the USOS and The New Day. Now, don't get me wrong, The Usos are a great heel team ...

Braun Strowman Makes His Glorious Return

Image
On Mondays Raw, The main event was Samoa Joe Vs Roman Reigns and it was a good and competitive match. Reigns and Joe are going back and forth having the fans wondering who is going to be the man that beats the other. Just when it looked like Reigns had Joe beat, you heard a sound of a ambulance truck in the background. The horn kept getting louder and louder until the camera pans tot he backstage and you see a ambulance roll up. Who was it in that truck? No other than Braun Strowman who emerges out of the truck to a huge ovation from the crowd. He marches and storms to the ring to engage Reigns but while his back was turned, Joe took advantage of the situation and put him in the choke-hold. With nowhere to go, Reigns is done and out cold completely. But, it was about to get ten times worse when Joe exited the ring and here came Strowman enter the ring. Strowman enters the ring and proclaims that he is back and is not DONE WITH ROMAN REIGNS. Then, he proceeded to pick Lesnar up...

Seth Rollins On The New 2k18 Cover and Why That Is Great

Seth Rollins was revealed to be on the 2k18 cover and while some people didnt care, I thought it was a big win for the new generation. Why is that? Ever since 2009, you had eight games that came out from WWE and its been nothing but the old generation. For WWE 10, it was John Cena, Undertaker, Edge, and Rey Mysterio. 2011, it was John Cena, Big Show, and The Miz. I will say that the Miz being on the cover of the game even though he wasnt the focus, it was good. 2012, it was Randy Orton who was the cover on the game. WWE 13, it was actually CM Punk and that is a good thing because he was a new star so that was a step up for the video games and the old generation. On 2k14, it was The Rock and once again, you are going back to the old generation. 2k15, 2K16, and 2K17 were Lesnar, Austin, and Cena. Since the WWE failed to make new generation megastars, they are forced to put timers or wrestlers from the early 2000s to make the game look remotely impressive. However, with the recent uncove...

Why Sami Zayn Deserves Better

Sami Zayn deserves better than what he is getting especially since he is one of the best wrestlers on the roster. Zayn started off in NXT as the underdog that the crowd had alot of sympathy for. Sami Zayn has been a hard worker and a excellent wrestler for the WWE since debuting full-time on the main roster. That night in Montreal when he debut against John Cena in the U.S open challenge was one of the best debuts for a rookie I have seen a long time. The crowd was fully behind Sami Zayn and even though he lost and suffered a injury ( next time, dont wave your arms so crazy), he went toe to toe with cena and showed everybody just how good he was. Ever since then, Zayn has not been doing as well as I thought he would be and thats mainly due to the booking of WWE. Even though he is in a better position than most guys are, the fact that someone like Jinder Mahal who was a jobber for years up until like 3 weeks ago can win a championship, but Zayn cant? That just shows the ridicul...

Samoa Joe and Lesnar Feud Is Great Booking

Samoa Joe is being booked like a million bucks. On July 9th, he faces Brock Lesnar in one of the most anticipated matches of the year. From the day he came in, he conquered and dominated a lot of the competition. Last week, he chocked out WWE's resident walrus  Paul Heyman to deliver a message to Lesnar that he is not afraid of him. Well, Brock got the message and this week, he came to face Samoa Joe and well, all hell broke loose. Lesnar and Heyman stormed to the ring and was in no mood to play or joke. He wanted Joe to come out so he could take him to Suplex City. Before Heyman could go on his rant, Joe came out and ran straight into Lesnar and the fight was on. The crowd roared in approval as these two big men fought it out exchanging blows. It got so out of control that referees were sent to break it up, but of course, referees cant control these two men so they were dispatched and thrown around quickly. Then, if that wasn't crazy enough, the whole roster was sent out to ...

AJ Styles is the Superstar of the Year

Image
AJ Styles is the Superstar of the Year AJ Styles has had a phenomenal year in WWE, personally, I did not predict that AJ Styles would come in and trailblaze WWE the way he did. Starting from his debut at the Royal Rumble, he came in with so much buzz and excitement from the fans. Then, he teamed with Chris Jericho and people got worried a little bit. There was a concern that Styles would just be a midcarder in a tag team with Jericho. Then, at Wrestlemania 32, he lost to Jericho and fans who watched that were really concerned that WWE would bury Styles. However, a leaf was turned when the next night, he won a fatal four way to be the number one contender for the WWE championship. Now, why would he lose at the biggest show of the year only to then contend for the championship, I have no idea. Whatever the case is, he had something to prove to the WWE fans that he could hang with the top dog, which was Roman Reigns, the champion at the time. At Payback and Extreme Rules, AJ styles ...

Why Goldberg Should Not Have Beaten Brock Lesnar By Radi Lewis Survivor Series 2016 last month was a good show from top to bottom. From the Team Smackdown Vs Raw team, the IC title match with Zayn and Miz, there was great wrestling during this PPV. But, that leads us to Goldberg Vs Brock Lesnar. This match was being built up as two monsters colliding, The Unstoppable force Brock Lesnar vs the WCW Legend Goldberg. Lesnar wanting revenge against Goldberg for that loss he suffered at Wrestlemania 20. Fanfare was at an all-time high coming into this match because people were curious to see how this would play out. We got our answer when Goldberg SQUASHED Lesnar in two minutes. Literally, it was two spears to Lesnar and a jackhammer to finish it off. Now, on one hand, the crowd in that building went crazy for that finish because it was so unexpected to see Lesnar dominated like that. And to their credit, It made Goldberg look like a beast heading into the Royal Rumble. However,...

SmackDown Is a Better Show Than Raw

Image
By Radi Lewis Raw is a terrible, terrible show. It is 3 hours of nonsensical, horrible, and outright bad booking. SmackDown meanwhile is a nice and quick two hour of great wrestling. When Raw is over, it feels like you watched a marathon of the worst show on television. When SmackDown's done, you long for more, not less. Also, SmackDown has another thing over raw, which is the face General Manager; The heel authority figure is so overused in wrestling. On SmackDown Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan are nice guys who want the best for their show. They talk to both heels and faces and by default, give everyone an equal playing field. Much like William Regal in NXT, they are the kind of people who could run a real wrestling promotion, and it's great to see. The announcing is another thing that SmackDown has over raw. Michael Cole controls the broadcast booth and has the boring and stale Byron Saxton on the other side of him. However, On SmackDown we have the excellency of Maur...

Why Kevin Owens should have won the U.S Title

Kevin Owens vs John cena was a great triology. From their classic at elimination chamber to Money In the Bank to Battleground, thoose two men put all they had in that and it led to the best matches in WWE this year. Both men made Raw watchable for the past couple of months and their promos were great. However, the result of the Owens-Cena match at Battleground was frustrating at best. Not only did they make Owens lose, but TAP OUT! I could not stomach watching him lose, let alone TAP out. He built alot of momentum over the past couple of months and it all came to a head at Battleground. When everything was on the line, he lost and lost bad. He is not completely destroyed, but they really took him down a couple of notches at Battleground. Owens is a great promo and a even better worker so he will survive. But, the recent track record of feeding young talent to John Cena is horrifying. My guess is that he will transition into a feud with Cesaro for Summerslam. And after that, I hear ...

Undertaker Vs Brock Lesnar

We all knew that Lesnar Vs Seth Rollins was not going to end clean. Brock Lesnar dominated Rollins throughout this storyline to the point where it was too obvious that Lesnar was going to win. Their were rumors that Taker and Sting were going to return for matches at Summerslam. And if Undertaker had a reason to return and target someone, it would be the man who broke him and his streak, Brock Lesnar. He returns in the main event and tombstones Lesnar and helps Rollins keep his title. Now, this is going to be a money match for Summerslam. Now, the positions are going to be a bit in the grey. Now, Lesnar is a babyface and Taker to the best of my knowledge is a face. This is a interesting yet simple feud that can be summed up in one word: Vengeance. Taker wants payback because Brock took the one thing he truly cared about which was a his wrestlemania streak. So. Taker takes the one thing that Brock cares about and that is the world championship.A vengeful Taker vs an even more vengeful B...

Cesaro is Main Event Worthy

"I don't know, maybe the reason he can't get connect with the crowd because he is Swiss". Yes, those are the words of our WWE owner Vince Mcmahon. Let me facepalm for a second. Ok, first of all, Cesaro is one of the best wrestlers that company has to offer. I know that does not come off as a shock to anyone, but with his recent matches, just had to put out there. His ability to give his all in every single match is commendable and should be rewarded. He can excite the crowd with his amazing strength and can do just about anything in that ring. From the giant swing to his impactful and flashy uppercuts, he has a wide variety of moves. His matches recently with John cena have been the best of his WWE career. It has also shown alot of fans who have gave up on Cesaro, that he still has alot of gas in the tank. When was being pushed as a single star in early 2014, he got loud cheers from the crowd soley based on his ability. When he bodyslammed Big Show st wrestlemania 30, ...

Dean Ambrose has always been a better babyface than Roman Reigns

Image
Dean Ambrose is one of the most over babyfaceas in WWE wrestling today. His natural charisma combined with his wrestling ability has fans gravitate towards him. No matter how he has been booked by WWE, fans go crazy for him and love to see him win. Like a Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan, he just has that underdog fight spirit that fans can get behind. Then we go to Roman Reigns. I am actually a fan of Reigns and I think some of the criticism he gets is ridiculous ( he is more than just the Rocks cousin ). However, Roman Reigns is just overall not a main event superstar right now. When he talks on the mic, 7/10 times it is terrible and cringe worthy. He just sounds so wooden and scripted. Dean Ambrose,on the other hand, is great on the mic and his promos never sound scripted. Even when they were in the shield, Ambrose and Rollins always did the talking and reigns just stands there and look intimidating. Now as for matches, Reigns has not had alot of one on one  matches that...

Seth Rollins credibility as World Champion is gone

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Seth Rollins over the past couple of months has been Curb stomped to hell. Just over 3 months ago, he was one of the hottest superstars in terms of credibility and momentum. He cashes in against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns and beats both of them to win the WWE Title.Even before,he was a dastardly and evil heel who will stop at nothing to win his matches. From betraying the shield to injuring Dean Ambrose, nearly killing Edge,he was one of WWE's best heels and no one was more hated than Rollins. He was calculated, cerebral, and was a type of heel rarely seen in WWE. As soon as he won his title, his stock has fallen off the face of the planet.Running away from his opponents in most of his matches, being a coward, and for some reason, is being pinned by losers like J&J security. Rollins lost the edge that made him so interesting as a character and is one of the worst champions in recent history. His current opponent, Brock Lesnar, is his most da...

WWE Missed A Opportunity to Have Dolph Ziggler and Russev have a Double Turn at Battleground

Dolph ZIggler, Russev,Summer Rae, and Lana are in a love square( yea, Exciting TV right?) This feud was escalated with Russev repeatedly beating Dolph with his crutch. However, as I am watching this unfold, I just have one question:Who is the Face and who is the Heel? Lana is just using Ziggler to get Russev to be jealous and Dolph Ziggler is just rubbing it in his face that he has his girl. He insults Ziggler and berates him. Meanwhile, until recently, Russev lost his title, all of his momentum, and then Lana to Dolph. So, I was thinking, Dolph is coming off as arrogant jerk and Lana comes off as a vengeful woman. The storyline seemed to be going with Dolph and Lana turning heel and Russev turning face. Dolph is so stale as a babyface and that give momentum back to Dolph with a heel turn. Even this storyline is slowly getting the crowds to turn on Ziggler because he comes off as a Heel. Any chance of a double turn at battleground was thrown away with Russev smashing Dolph with the c...

Why The Stardust Gimmick Should Be Dropped

With the unfortunate passing of the hall of famer Dusty Rhodes, the wrestling world was flipped upside down. However, with a loss comes a silver lining of hope. Dusty’s son Cody is saddled with a terrible gimmick like Stardust. Cody Rhodes is a highly talented wrestler who deserves to be higher up the card. With superb in ring ability and good mic skills, he has the opportunity to be alot more in WWE. Cody Rhodes has untapped potential and many see him as a world champion in the futureif given the proper booking. To those who say that Cody Rhodes can’t get over with the crowd are completely blind. In 2013, he faced Randy Orton in a win or get fired match. After he lost the match, he cut a heartfelt promo on the authority and was pissed off at the world because of how people in WWE treated the Rhodes family. When he teamed with Goldust as the Rhodes Brothers,he was one of the most popular superstars in the company.  He and Goldust were so over that they were able to main event Raw ...
